A visual is only useful when the number remains visible
SpecMeter is designed to begin with a permitted product field, not with an editorial conclusion. The original value and unit stay visible beside every meter. A bar is therefore a reading aid rather than a replacement for the specification.
This matters because a chart without a scale can exaggerate a small difference. Our layout gives both products the same scale, uses the same unit and prints the exact value. A customer can understand the picture quickly and still inspect the underlying number.

Normalization should be mechanical and reversible
When equivalent values use different units, a comparison engine may convert them through a documented rule. The converted value should be traceable back to its source field. Conversion must not become interpretation: centimeters can become inches, but a marketing phrase should not silently become a laboratory score.
A production record should retain the source resource, retrieval time, original value, normalized value and rule version. That audit trail makes corrections possible when a listing changes or a mapping rule is improved.

The final sentence must remain neutral
The safest comparison sentence describes the difference: one product is lighter, larger or listed with more storage. It should not jump from a measurable fact to an unsupported claim such as better, faster or more durable.
Where the preference is personal, SpecMeter labels both sides. A smaller display can be easier to carry; a larger display can provide more visual space. The customer decides which tradeoff fits the intended use.
